The Harvard Women’s Studies in Religion Program Colorado Steering Committee held their annual Spring Coffee on Friday, May 13th.  The presentation featured Katherine Collins, Harvard Divinity School graduate, member of the HDS Dean’s Council, and Founder and CEO of Honeybee Capital, an independent research firm dedicated to reconnecting investing with the real world.

With over 20 years of professional investment experience, Katherine Collins turns to nature, and specifically honeybees, for alternatives to narrow, rigid approaches to finance that replace human judgment with digital tools. Her talk “Faith & Finance”, shared her ideas on how faith, finance, and the natural world can weave together to illuminate vital issues, and how each of those three areas can inform each other. Her new book, The Nature of Investing: Resilient Investment Strategies through Biomimicry, examines biomimicry to re-root investing in approaches that are robust, resilient, and regenerative—in service to our communities and to our planet.
