news > CARD visit Capital Sisters

Senior management from the Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (CARD) visited Capital Sisters in Denver during a recent trip to the United States.

CARD is one of the pre-eminent microfinance institutions in the Philippines and has been successfully serving poor, primarily landless rural women in this extremely challenging geographical landscape since 1989. They serve over a million clients with access to micro loans, insurance, educational, livelihood, health and other capacity-building products and services so that they can provide for their families and better serve their community and the environment. CARD is a recognized industry leader and has received numerous international accolades for its social and financial performance.

During the visit Capital Sisters concluded its annual due diligence exercise and hosted CARD on a visit to Georgetown for some mountain scenery.

CARD senior management participated in a panel on Access to Capital at a symposium on Impact Investing with a Gender Lens co-hosted by Capital Sisters on November 2nd.

We are honored to have CARD as one of our inaugural MFI partners.
